MARSHA LODGE
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT | HANDWEAVERS GUILD OF CONNECTICUT

BIOGRAPHY
After 45 years, Marsha Lodge is still deeply moved by the process of transforming a cone or skein of fiber into a wearable or artistic item. She is equally interested in defined structures and free-form textured pieces, continually finding new designs and structures that excite her imagination.

VISION
Many of Marsha Lodge’s family vacations have taken place along the Rhode Island shore, where the typically busy pace of life is transformed by the calming ocean breezes and waves. The shades of blue in her work represent the sky and the changing colors of the water, while the grays and tans reflect the sand where children are busy digging and building.
