We offer the convenience of purchasing gift cards for Newport Harbor Island Resort through Yiftee, an online gifting platform. To get started, simply visit our dedicated Newport Harbor Island Resort page on Yiftee’s website here. There, you can choose from a range of e-gift and gift card options that suit your preferences. Our gift cards can be used for a variety of experiences within the resort, including dining at our exquisite restaurants, indulging in our luxurious spa treatments, and enjoying all the amenities our resort has to offer. Igloos: November-March

Overlook the Narragansett Bay and Newport Pell Bridge from the warmth of your very own heated igloo. Enjoy seasonal drink specials and a dedicated menu, outfitted with cozy blankets and pillows.

Igloos can be reserved through OpenTable for guests and general public and are subject to availability. Dinner must be reserved in advance; lunch reservations are recommended but not required.

Ice Rink: November-February

As the colder weather approaches, Newport Harbor Island Resort transforms the North Lawn into a winter wonderland with an outdoor ice-skating rink! Overlook the Narragansett Bay as you glide across the ice with unobstructed views of the Newport Bridge and the Goat Island Lighthouse as your backdrop.

The rink will be open daily, weather permitting, and is available to the public, as well as hotel guests. Don’t forget to warm up after your skate time with seasonal cocktails and decadent hot chocolate in our cozy lounge!
Skates and skate aids are available to rent, or visitors are welcome to bring their own skates. Walk-ins only; no reservations required (unless for a private event).

Firepits

The Firepits offer guests a unique seaside setting to enjoy bespoke libations, light bites, and entertainment. The outdoor firepit patio features stellar views overlooking our beautiful resort, as well as unparalleled, panoramic sunsets. Firepits are available during the daytime for resort guests, and can be made with a link provided prior to your stay. Firepit dinner reservations are available to guests and the public here.

Guests have 24/7 access to our fitness center using their room keys. The fitness center overlooks the indoor pool and is equipped with treadmills, ellipticals, weights, and more.

Complimentary WiFi is available to all guests. To access, please connect to the Newport Harbor Island Resort Guest network using your email address.

Check-in time is after 4:00PM; check-out time is 11:00AM. Arriving early? We’ll do our best to accommodate you; we will allow full use of all hotel amenities and will happily store your luggage safely and securely. Please note that a late departure fee may apply.

Newport Harbor Island Resort is a smoke- and vape-free property.

We love our four-legged friends! Your guestrooms will be fully equipped with dog beds and bowls to make your pups’ stay just as comfortable!

Our complimentary shuttle and water taxi are both available for transportation to and from Bowen’s Wharf in downtown Newport every half-hour. The shuttle is available year-round, and the water taxi operates from May 15-September 15.

We are happy to offer complimentary cribs and rollaways. Please contact us in advance of your stay to request.

Newport Harbor Island Resort was previously Gurney’s Newport and became independent in October 2022 under new ownership and management. There is no interruption in the quality of service to our guests. We also can no longer accept Gurney’s gift cards, but they are still valid at any Gurney’s property. Non-Smoking Policy:

Newport Harbor Island Resort is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas, including guest rooms, common areas, and enclosed spaces. This includes but is not limited to cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes, vaping devices, and any other form of smoking.

Guests who violate the non-smoking policy will be subject to a cleaning fee to restore the room to a smoke-free condition. The cleaning fee will be charged to the guest’s account and may vary depending on the extent of the damage caused by smoking.

Designated Smoking Areas:

Newport Harbor Island Resort provides designated smoking areas for guests who wish to smoke. These areas are clearly marked and located in outdoor spaces away from the main entrances and common areas.

Guests are required to dispose of cigarette butts and other smoking-related waste properly in the designated receptacles provided. Littering or disposing of smoking waste in non-designated areas is strictly prohibited.

Guest Responsibility:

Guests are responsible for understanding and complying with the smoking policy during their stay at Newport Harbor Island Resort. It is the responsibility of guests to adhere to the non-smoking policy in their assigned rooms and throughout the hotel premises.

Any damage caused to the room or hotel property due to smoking, including but not limited to burns, stains, or lingering odors, will be charged to the guest’s account for the necessary repairs or replacements.
