BIOGRAPHY
Judith Larzelere, also known as Jude, received her MFA from Rutgers University. For 35 years, she focused on studio art quilts. After learning the principles of weaving, she has shifted her focus to designing and weaving, emphasizing color exploration and fundamental design.
VISION
Judith Larzelere’s response to the hotel wall hanging project has been to take the provided colors and explore ways to create interesting, abstract pieces without relying on complex weave structures. Some of her hangings evoke seascapes, while others are purely geometric. She strives for both balance and color harmony in her work. The colors she chooses resonate with her many walks along the beaches of Rhode Island.
